This is a case where VFP documentation really needs to be simplified. _ED* functions are part of Foxtools.fll. So to use them you need to
[tt]SET LIBRARY TO Foxtools.fll ADDITIVE
*-- Your code using all the goodies of the _Ed* functions.

Lost almost 2 hours figuring this out. Hope this will help someone else.
