We have used an * infront of a station name/number to hide it in the directory and also not show when calling others. It hides it in the directory; however, I recall it not showing when calling others, but that does not seem to be the case...is there a way to hide when calling others?

You can hide the extension, but not the name. Why do you need the calling name to be hidden?

Some of these extensions are labeled "test" or "VPN"...for tracking purposes.

How do you hide the extension from an actual call?

Give the station a unique COS in which "Client Room" has been turned on. Internal outbound calls will then display the information in the station "Room" field, instead of the station extension.

I set COS 0 for this feature in my PBX. Since COS 0 is the COS used by agents, it also prevents the agent logon ID from showing up on internal calls.

Is there some other setting besides that? I'm still seeing the information.

Also check disp sys hosp on page 2
display room information in call display=y

Could not locate what you are referring to but I was able to select "Per Station CPN-Send Calling Number="n" and that removes the # only. This works!

In later versions of CM the * no longer worked. Avaya now says you need to use a non-keypad character. It's recommended that you use a double tilde ~~.

Other's have said that you can use an underscore or other non-keypad characters.

Quoting only proves you know how to cut and paste.

Haven't used it myself, but... In CM4.x and above, this may work as well. Try to change your COR field page 2 :Mask CPN/NAME for Internal Calls? y.

Thanks,
