Hey folks,
I've searched around CA's web site, and once again it proves to be almost useless for finding info that should be simple.

I've got an HP StorageWorks 1/8 autoloader (HP part # C9572CB) that I'm using on a system with ARCserve 11.1. According to what I've read ARCserve 11.1 is compatible with single drive systems with multiple slots, but in the past when we tried using this unit with ARCserve 2000 and 9 it required us to use the Library option.

What I'm looking to find out is if this unit will work with ARCserve 11.1 without the Library option or not. I'm using the 30 day eval version of the Library option now, and would prefer not to buy it if I don't have to.

You'd think that something as simple as a list like "The following drives work with no additional software" and "The following drives will require the Tape Library option to be installed" would be on CA's web site. There's no such list that I can find...

Thanks,
- Dave

autoloaders are supported with the base product. As long as the loader contains just one tape drive no Tape Libraty Option is required.
