Using Access to determine the Operating System

I would like to do an ON OPEN for a form and have it INSERT INTO a table the operating system that the user is current on. Is there a way to do this?

DEpends what version of Access you're using. I'm running A2002 and can use Environ("OS") in my VBA to return a text string describing the operating system.

where in the registry does it show the operating system?

Reason: I just did your recommendation on my Access XP (I am on the XP operating system) and it said Windows_NT.
