Using a macro to make the computer dial a phone number 1

I was wondering if there was anyway to use an in-form macro to dial a phone number with the computers modem.

If you can have a button to call up MS Word, I would gather you could use one to run a batch file that would do something like this. Can you write a batch file that would make the call?

Ever notice that by the time that you realize that you ran a truncate script on the wrong instance, it is too late to stop it?

I have no expirence in writing batch files. What I was looking for was how to use the runApp, and the sendKey commands to dial a phone number.

This might seem to be a slight oversimplification, but go into Access help, use index, and enter "dial". Follow instructions for creating a control button, or dragging a dial icon to your toolbar.

oh, i guess that i didn't say that. but yes, now all I have to do is figure out how to work the dialer with my modem.

You might try hitting the setup button in the dialer window, making sure you are using the correct com port for the modem.
