Greetings.

I know what your thinking...why?
Well, I have an extra license and wanted to build my new home system with something to match the hardware. I am running an 850-D Pentium4, dual core 3.4.
Also running 4gigs or ram and was having all kinds of issues getting the hardware/software to see all 4gigs in XP.
I know about all the hardware/software use over 3gigs but wanted to see if 2003server would handle it better. I am also running dual x1900xt's in crossfire mode.
Anyway, I wanted to get the input from some of you on the know about how this system would handle 3D gaming, etc or if it would even handle DirectX.

So far, the only downside has been setting the IE to browse in a normal fashion. I have yet to test gaming, etc, still in the setup phase.

Thus, please advise on any thing I should be aware of.

Thanks.

You're not going to get a win2k server box to be a better gaming machine than XP. It's just not going to happen. Win2k3 isn't designed for it.

I have an XBOX 360 and it is the best! get that and use your server for something else.
