I have a question about this..I'm fairly new to the backup world and have been learning on the job.

basically we bought new tapes for our 3 servers that we do backups on.
one of the drives in a 12/24 dat drive..however we ordered 20/40 tapes. i notice when i try to use a new tape it just pops out right after i put it in. Is this because the size is incompatible?

Thanks
Shari

Shari-
You ordered the wrong tapes. The tape must be correct for the drive or they will either be ejected or your backup operation will fail altogether. Check the hp.com site for the correct part number.

Best Regards,
