Users without folder access to a linked table

Another group in our company has an Access database set up. All 10 of the users have rights to the folder this database resides in. All the tables are local except for one that is a linked table to a folder that only 3 of the 10 users have rights to.

Even though they are not using this table could these 7 other users trigger database corruption by having a linked table visible that they do not have folder permissions to?

I assume you are running a split database with the front-end on each user pc. In that case I wouldn't have thought there would be an issue.
 
No this database was set up by someone with all local tables in a shared environment
 
Then make sure you are taking backups regularly. You'll probably need them.
