Hi All,

I set up a SCN between 2 IPO 412 switches (running rel. 3.0 44), one in Houston and one in NYC. The switch in NYC already had users, and when I created the route on the Chicago switch to the other and merged the config, the users from the Houston switch showed up in the NYC switch. The NYC users weren't overwritten, and nothing else in the config changed. Does anyone know if this is normal behavior? What would cause this?

Thanks,

John

Most definatley not normal behaviour. Have you checked the usual, i.e all usernames, huntgroup names and extension numbers are unique??

Are you 100% sure that you didn't manage the wrong box or send the config to the wrong box?? You can probably manage both boxes from either end so this could well be a possibility!!

I have seen this before, starting SCN without a complete reboot with 3.0 seems to infect the config of the SCN partners were you try to connect to.
I have had the same in a existing SCN network of 7 ipo's and the eight one added messed up all the others.
The only solution was to rebuild all cofigs from scratch after deleting both the firmware and the config of all involved ipo's.
