users cannot delete copied data

I have moved data from network attach storage device linked to a NT4 server to a 2003 server but users are unable to delete any of the copied data. They can however create and delete new files and delete those files.
Domain users and everyone has full control rights.

Reset the permissions on the copied files. Use the Advanced settings in the NTFS permissions to reset permissions on all files and subfolders.
