Running MF XP, sr3; windows 2000, sp4.

I installed PNAgent like always on a laptop client. When I try to logon to ctx using the PNAgent with the user's regular domain username and password, I get the error:

'The username and password you entered are incorrect. Please reenter your username and password'

You try this a couple times and it locks the account. I got the password straight from the user (I know, I know). I created a test user account in the same domain and it works fine.

My last resort is to go back to the user to confirm the password.

Besides an incorrect password, what could cause this error?
Thanks!

Hehe an incorrect username.

I have seen this sometimes in a novell environment,, but you don't mention that.

Definately go back to the user and get letter for letter numbers and cases and make sure they understand that.

Still not sure what was happening.

I confirmed the users password and could see where he had logged onto his desktop just this morning with that same password, but I could not log into Ctx as him until I changed his password. After that, no problem.

Thanks!

Q. Is he logging on to Ctx with a local account and not a domain one ?
