When logging on to my Intel Solaris 7 with a userid logon goes into a loop and bring me back to the logon screen. have logon as root and using admintool removed user's password and tried to logon with userid again but gets same results. This is the only user beside root on system, using it to study for Part I exam.
Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Is there anything in the user's .profile which could be causing this behaviour?

In the admintool, see whether the user account has been disabled or are there any restrictions for logging in for this specific user.. - Hemant

checked the user .profile, it's looks ok & there's no restrictions or has anything been disable. power the unit off for a while and once it came back up the the problem was gone. . . . . . . . .
