Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm running Exchange 2003 in a Win2003 environment. We have a user here, he is listed in the Global address book. I added him to a group, however, he is not showing up in the group. The group is just one of the groups in the Global address book, e.g. for mass-emails to a certain division in our company.

any advice?

thanks.

Wait, then check the DS logs on your GC. (group membership is stored in the GC partition)

any other suggestions? I tried, but nothing particular erro stands out. any ideas?

Do you see him in the group today? I am assuming you are looking at the properties of the group through the GAL - which updates every 24 hours by default in cache mode.

"He who laughs last probably made a backup. He who laughs loudest probably hasn't checked his backups in a while."

Force an update of the Offlien Address Book, or try turning off cached mode to actually view the GAL.

What you think is the GAL is actually the OAB if you are using Outlook in Cached mode.

In Exchange System manager, right click the OAB and choose Rebuild.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
