Greetings,

I have a user that believes some of his documents are stored under an old domain account. He thinks that documents are on the local machine. The domain has since been renamed (about two months) and I am unable to access that account on the local machine, even with the local admin account. Any ideas would be most welcome.

Thanks

use something like BartPE, or a linux boot disk, to boot the machine without actually starting Windows, then transfer documents to a USB key or some such device.

Huh?
Login to any admin account,

Look for the users old account folder under C:\Documents and Settings. folder name will be his username. Files should be in there.
