I have what may be a dumb question or a tough one, I am not sure. I have taken over as a Sys Admin and am finding many users have been assigned file permissions right at the folder or file level rather than a group being given the permissions and the user put in the appropriate group(s). So I have a user that left, and a new one has taken her place. They want the new user to have the old user's same access. If she was in just groups I could have just copied those groups and all would be well. But since the previous admins put user accounts directly in the security permissions I have no idea short of looking in each folder everywhere to see who is assigned permissions and where. Is there a tool or way of seeing what the old user has/had access to so I can quickly get the new person up and running?
I have a lot of fixing to do here and hopefully I can get it so it is easier to manage at some point.
Thanks for your help,
-Frank
