Hello all,
we have 15 servers 10 netware 5.1 sp7 and 2 netware 6 sp2 are local, 1 in CA, 1 in Germany, 1 in France and 2 in the UK, recently the one in CA died the power supply fried everything, I had an image(made with potlock)2 that was taken 2 months before, I was able to remove the outdated replica on the CA server then I put it back on the network and updated the replica from a copy, everything synchronized nicely and worked ok, the sever was sent back to CA there are 3 users there, 2 of the users logged in fine and everything the third user login and the login scripts only shows authenticatin to the server and no drive mappings the other 2 users are fine and use the same login script, so the third user login and cannot map drives and cannot print using ndps, seems to me that the user has lost all the rights I have checked and he has all the rights as the other 2 users and there is not groups involved either, rusn dsrepair on and on and the problem persist. does anybody have any Idea of what can be the problem? if I recreate the user can I transfer all the rights so the GrouWise account don't get screwed?.

thanks.

I'm just amazed that you got all that in one long runon sentence. :)

I bet it is not a rights issue, it is a licensing issue. 2 users can always login, even on a server with no licensing. The 3rd user always has problems... none of the drives map, can't see anything on the volumes where you should have rights, everything else you are saying.

Make sure you have reassigned the licensing certificates to the new server you put in. Do a VERSION at the console and make sure that it reports something like "SERVER VERSION blah blah HARD STOP SN: 12345678." If it says Server license not aqcuired, you have found your problem.

Thanks for replyig Marvin.
Well I checked what you said and found no licencing problem so I just decided to recreate the user name and relinked it with the GW account and guess what? it worked .
the user gets all the mapping an can print using NDPS.
this has no explanation at all but I just got tired of troubleshooting and took the easiest way.
thanks a lot marvin for you help.
take care.
