I have a user who (I won't be able to look at his machine until Friday) is recieving two copies of each email. He is using Road Runner's email. He said he is going to call Road Runner to see if they can shed any light on it before I arrive. I'm wondering if maybe he is using Outlook and has two duplicate accounts running at the same time. Thoughts?

A little knowledge is dangerous.

It could be that (2 duplicate accounts), and it could also be something like this. Say he uses more than one email address, but decides to forward all email to one email address in order to use one account to see everything. I noticed before that if you set the options to "save copy of message in inbox" and "forward email" on the same account, and then use Outlook to get mail from both accounts, you will have duplicates. So, it could also be that.

Also, make sure that it is duplicates from EVERY incomming mail message as apposed to just one sender, b/c it could be something on the sender's end - I've also seen this occur (such as a mailing list that doesn't check to verify only one copy of each email address).
