Hello,
I have a user who just got married and has changed her name, what will be the simplest way of updating her profile without loosing her existing data and without having to create an additional user.

All our users use firstname.surname as their login username.

We are on Windows 2000 Adv Server and Exchange 2000
Cheers

Just go into AD and cnahge the name it should populate through changing it where needed (except home directories)

Bob is correct. You can change an account to anything you want since it is the account SID / GUID that is the important part and that is maintained.

You should also add her old name as a secondary SMTP address on her account so she will continue to get replies to old e-mails, they'll bounce otherwise. Make her new name primary SMTP so any mails she sends out will get stamped with that as reply address.
It's under e-mail addresses tab in account properties.

Thanks for the prompt responses, much appreciated.
