user changes password and can't access mapped drive

I have created a hidden($) mapped drive for my manager. When she changes her password she is unable to access this mapped drive unless she provides her old password. Can anyone tell me where to start with this one?

Running Windows 2000 Server with SP3
Client is Windows xp
