I installed quickbooks on a computer and when the user trys to access the program it says "your user account was created with restricted access, please contact sys admin for access".
The only time I have seen this error was in a terminal server.
The problem is that Quickbooks really stinks when it comes to security. Intuit has a LOT to learn. They insist that users need to have Power User or Admin rights on the box.
You can resolve this by first assigning full registry access to the Intuit keys int he registry. There are also a dozen or more keys in the HKEY_ROOT hive. If you use RegMon from Sysinternals you should be able to identify most of them to get yourself in business. Don't forget to give full rights to the Intuit Printer as well.
I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.
