Hi!
We run MetaFrame 1.8 on W2K server with Office 2000 installed.
Users log on and can use any of the apps in O2K.
That is, all except the president of our company!!!
She does not normally use Citrix. When she does, she gets the
'This application must be installed in order to run, please insert the installation disk' screen.

No one else gets this error, and everyone else can access all apps.

I created a different account for her to use in Citrix, and this works fine, however, I want to know why this is happening.
I do not normally use Citrix either (the boss and I have the same SW installed on our local PC's: W2K Pro and O2K), and I have no problems when I log in. Why would she?

I have recreated her profile on the PDC, BDC, her machine and the Citrix server, I have reinstalled O2k on both her machine and the Citrix server. No go.

Thanks,
Corie

Hi,

Can you check the following registry entries are in the users profile that doesn't work:-

==================================================
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word]
"UserData"=dword:00000001
"OSAShortcut"=dword:00000001

===================================================

Cut and paste the above to a .reg file, as the non-working user, double click this file and let it write it to the registry, does Word now work?

If this users it, you may need to add the two entries into all the other packages.

Does this help?

Cheers,
Carl.

Hi. Sorry for the delay! There were no entries like you described. I inserted them, but there is no change in the problem. Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Corie
