User accounts use by services

Hi,

I am currently having a problem with an application/service that I'm running on my server, and I have been told that it might have to do with what user account the service is running under. Is there a way for me to find out?

I'm running an email server, and the software I'm using is MDaemon. I recently did an upgrade, and now I cannot backup my list of user email accounts. MDaemon has an option to backup all user email accounts to a text delimited file. Everytime I try to do the backup, the application (GUI) freezes. Someone told me that the service might not have permission to write to the /App directory, which is where it places the backup file.
