Our organization uses SBS2000, and we are planning to add another server to take care of terminal server and licensing.

I'm aware that the PDC/BDC doesn't really apply to Windows 2000/2003 server, but does anyone have a 2003 server participating as a backup for AD?

We aren't near our 50-client limit yet, however the load on the existing server is getting too high and I am planning to move Terminal Server and file sharing off to the new server, but I don't know if 2003 will cooperate with SBS2000.

I can still obtain Windows 2000 server with downgrade rights, the only reason I'm considering 2003 is because of the newer version of Terminal Server.

As far as i'm aware you can't have a second DC in an SBS environment, but the 2003 server can be a member of the SBS domain.

I was aware that it would allow another server, and SBS has to be the 'controller'. :-)

Apparently Active Directory changed slightly from 2000/2003 and this is why I am unsure if it will work or not.
