I have 12 win2k servers sp4, with about 200 nodes on the network. what i need to do is make the pc's and 11 out of 12 servers follow the same time. I am curious as to what steps i'd need to take to have one server sync up to a "Atomic Clock" or ntp and push that time to all the pc's in the network and the 11 remaining servers? would i use login scripts or set time commands? i am very green when it comes to login scritps, very green. if anyone can help i'd be deeply indebted. THanks for any input on this matter.

from your DC,
net time /setsntp:tock.usno.navy.mil
Workstations and other servers should get their time from the DC.

ScottCR- i can get to the root through active directory correct? right click it go to properties create a new group policy and setup the time synchronization?

Sorry, I should have said that it depends if you have a root forest or not. If not then the PDC Emulator for your domain (which would be the same thing as you don't have a root forest).

Windows and NT Admin.
