I would like to install Webi in a DMZ configuration (see chap 9 of deployment.pdf, Webi and firewalls).
I have got 2 servers, I have activated IIS on one of them.
I've installed a cluster manager on the server without IIS and a cluster node on the computer with IIS.
This way, it works perfectly. But if I try to set ports as it is written in deployment.pdf, even without a firewall between the 2 servers, it does not work anymore.

Has someone already tried to use this configuration ?

Thank you for your help.

I don't have an answer to your question, but I know of a Business Objects Reporting project where folks tried to use WebI with firewalls in between (WebI server was to be hosted at an ASP with firewalls between the ASP and Organization). This ran into security issues as they had to open ports.

They found a work around by using 'Portal Web Services' provided by Business Objects. It provides reporting functionality through Web Services however one needs to create custom user-interface and the WebI User Interface is not available through portal services.

If you are initiating your project you may want to consider the 'Portal Web Services'.
