Hi,

In V5.0 we made alot of use of the -DH MQ option on output.
We are now moving over to V6.7 are are occasionally getting strange MQ errors on output of
"Illegal function call" for command -qmn QueueManagerName -qn QueueName -dh

The error implies a fault in the MQMD header and the fields we populate on output are MsgId and CorrelId, both of which are propagated from an input Mq message so will be in the correct format.

I have seen comments about using the -MQOO options but the books don't say they must be used and I don't want to apply the changes to many maps without good cause.

Any information around this area gladly received.

MQ 5.2
Windows 2000

Since you only sometimes get the message, best bet is to turn on MQ tracing -T for the (hopefully) one map that causes the problem and send it to Ascential DS TX support. They have some people with good MQ abilities.

Make sure you are running 6.7.1 and have your MQ CSDs up to date.
