USB to Serial connector - does it exist? 3

Hello,
Let's suppose I only have a USB port available (not a serial on the laptop) and I need terminal (vt100) acess to a device. Is there a connector from USB to serial available? Or what options are there? I have looked at several laptops and many only have USB ports.

I only need a laptop for a couple of things, one is to configure firewalls, network devices, etc.

I got a Belkin one off e-Bay for my palm pilot for about $10. Searching ebay for: usb serial palm -cradle turns up at least 30.
