I'm posting on behalf of my mother, who lives 3 hours away so there's only so much I can do to help her over the phone!
She's recently purchased a Minolta Dimage 7i digital camera and although the camera seems to be working fine she's not as yet been able to view the images on her '98 computer. She's installed the software as per the manual but at no time has the new hardware been described as a camera but always as "Minolta USB Storage Enumerator" (does she mean "emulator"?). I'm on XP so I've no idea whether this is to be expected in '98. She can't get the photos to transfer from the camera to the PC.
At first I thought there must be a problem with the camera but in the past few months she's had similar problems with getting the PC to recognise a different camera and a graphics tablet.
Has anyone else had problems with USB devices under Windows'98 or can offer any possible remedies?
Many thanks.
