I recently bought a motherboard k75sa/the guy told me that the usb ports dont work. so i bought a case and it had 2 front usb plug-ins and 2 wires come out the front to hook up on the mother board as (usb1,usb2,). I have tried hooking them in. and when windows starts up it say's as unknowned device and has no drivers(im running windows xp~pro) any advice ?

Is USB support enabled in the BIOS? If it is, and the motherboard's USB ports do not work like the guy said, then simply buying a case with USB hookups will do no good. That is kind of like buying new tires for a car that has no engine.

You can get a usb card for one of your PCI slots on the board and use them. Good luck, and Happy Computing

i got the hook up to work from the from of the case i had them on the pin's wrong and now they work and also the usb support on the mboard was already on
thanks 4 ya help
