USB Ports Not Working Since Upgrade from 2000 Server

My USB ports on my server refuse to work.

I used to have a sentinel key on one of them that used to control license of an application.

Since the upgrade, that license does not work.

If I put in a USB key, it doesn't even look like power is going to that port, or any USB port for that matter.

It worked with Windows 2000 server, with SP4 on it.

All I did was an upgrade to 2003 server with SP1.

Nothing showing up on the device manager as not working properly.

The program is certified BTW, to work with 2003, but even a normal USB key doesn't work

Any Ideas?

You mean it's not showing up in device manager at all, or it's in device manager but doesn't have the yellow exclamation mark? This might be a long shot, but maybe it's just coincidence? May be you have a hardware failure and it just happened at the same time you upgraded the server - I know it's unlikely, but possible. If none of the USB ports are working, or even powering the deviced you plug in there then I would suspect it's hardware related. If the ports are not onboard then maybe re-seating the card might help?

Sorry, not a very helpful post I know but just trying to throw around some suggestions - hope they're of some benefit

There is actually an MS article (Don't have the KB # handy), that talks about a port going into a suspend mode, and not waking up properly after plugging in a USB device. There is a reg fix for it, and once that was done and the server rebooted, it saw my USB key as well as my sentinel key.
