I installed a usb web camera to my pc, but it won't work (first time using the usb port on this pc). The camera works fine on my other computer. What can be done to resolve this problem.

Check the bios to make sure enabled.

Check the devices in your computer to make sure you have USB installed.

What operating system are you using?
Windows 9*? NT? XP?

I'm running win98. I searched in the device manager but didn't see nothing that says usb. Maybe I'll have to reinstall the cd that came with the motherboard.

I meant to type win98se for the above post.

How about enabling USB in the CMOS setup if this is a M/B that has the feature? If it isn't there the OS can't see it to install it. Ed Fair

Ed is correct, as I stated before this has to be turned on in the system setup (BIOS) or it won't work no matter what cd you load, patches you install or what you do in windows setup.

Hope this helps you.
