OK, this may sound weird, but when I change anything in my modem properties ie:init string, driver, firmware, rollback driver, etc, my mouse has this sporatic " I'm not moving and if I do you can't find me" attitude! I change back to no init string and Microsoft driver, everything is fine. ???
a.MS Optical 5 button Trackball
b.Agere Lucent LT Winmodem V92 data-fax
c. HP 2.4 ghz with 512mb 6 USB 2.0 ports
I have not changed the port number that the mouse originally connected to. I have tried the PS2 connector/adapter and still no luck. I have decreased fifo increased fifo, tried 'no hardware' setting in modem properties, reduced from 11500 to 57600, and also in Network Connections. I have used a different mouse with PS2 connection and it works fine with all the changes. But I am arthritic and it is easier to move JUST my thumb instead of my hand and arm.
Any ideas? Much appreciated!
