USB on Win 98

I recently bought a scanner, but it seems like the OS can't find the USB. I can't see it under ports in System. The comuter is an IBM Thinkpad, bought in 1998 and has Win 98 installed on it.

How can I fix it???

Make sure your USB's are enabled in BIOS. If you have two ports try both first. Additionally, there may be associated USB drivers for your motherboard that may need loading. Good Luck.

If your computer uses an AMD processor greater than 350MHz, you'll also need a patch to Win98SE (if you're using SE) that fixes some timing issue.
