As far as I know, USB is not supported in DOS.

USB NIC's, I hate them. They tend to be unreliable, just My personal View.
Any reason you want USB? I'm guesing for quick rebuilds / backups?
Laptops PCMCIA, desktop pop the case, insert PCI card. 30 second job.
