USB flow thru

I have seen several posts on other forums that will allow the NIC card. My modem will work either way (normallY). but the Ethernet card side continues to FAIL. and it cost 15USD every time to get to replaced. So i have to use the USB side. it works very good and never failes... but is there a TWEAK to will let the USB side work faster. Yes, i have upgraded to USB2.0 and that helps also.
