Usage of Call Work Codes on outgoing Agent Calls

Need to know if it is possible for an agent to enter a call work code on an outgoing call. I've tried and when the call work button is pressed, I cannot get a steady light to enter the code. Can anyone help, or even tell me if this is possible? Thanks in advance.
 
Is the cor for that agent setup to use call work codes?
Try to enter the work code after the call is complete.

To my knowledge call work codes only work on inbound acd calls and during the call only.
 
Thanks for the responses. I have everything turned on that needs to be turned on, but I still have not been able to make work codes work with outgoing calls. I'm inclined to agree with rich, but if anyone out there knows better please reply.
 
Dear:

Indeed call work codes only work on incoming ACD calls. During a call when using auto-in/ during or after a call (ACW) when using manual-in.

Which reporting tools do you have ?

I have once installed account codes (pairing up with the call work codes) for outbound calling. The customer was using a ringmaster/phonex/Florin type of reporting tool (= taxation tool)

Of course if you were to buy the Interaction Center of Avaya you can do lovely things with agent scripting (but that's a whole other cup of tea)
