URL with username/password and download

Does anyone know how to construct the url to login and download a doc?

Ex - url to download doc -

http://server/itt/livelink?func=ll&objId=910911&objAction=download

Ex - url to login -

http://server/itt/livelink?func=ll.login&username=aaaaaaa&password=44444444

I would like to take the first url and add the username and password function along with the func to download.

yes while it is unsafe you want to do something along this lines
You have to just encode the nextURL param

http://<servername>/livelink.exe?fu...c=ll&objId=5403&objAction=download&viewType=1

Please do not use this solution in the external world because it is very unsecure

Hello,

I tried your solution, but get an error message. "Illegal login methode". Does that mean an automatic login in Livelink is no longer possible? Or have I just done something wrong?

the illegal login method in my opinion implies that the userid you used for a directory synce'd one.If you have SSO turned on then you do not need a userid /password so I would think to use the url directly livelink will figure out the rest.

To use a userid/password these are the minimum requirements
The Livelink's webserver should run "anonymous" authentication
The instance of livelink should have [Security] Authentication=Livelink
The userid and password was something manually created by a user administrator

Now don't get alarmed by what I posted when you install and configure livelink for the first time this is what everybody does,the SSO and other things require more work so touch base with your livelink administration and ask if they can help.

There are unsupported ways of making a Dir Svced user into a manual one as well.
