hi

how do I specify a valid URL which would reference my local c drive?

Im trying to get a sound application to run and the sounds need to have a URL to make them work but I keep getting malformed URL exceptions..

ive tried everything...but can't seem to get it right...

i need to point to a filename like this:
c:\sounds\wav.1

i'm really stuck ... so could someone shed some light on this please??

any help appreicated
thanks

mark

I think a valid URL, referring to a local file will look like this -

file:///c:/sounds/wav.1

Try it and tell me if it works.

LOL A ship is safe in the harbour, but that's not what it is meant for!!! LOL

vkarthik's URL will work, but to be really nitpicky, uts actually :

file://c:/sounds/wav.1

yeah thanks...

it worked......
