Hello,

I have a domain that I purchased (domain1.com) that I would like to be able to forward to another domain. What I am shooting for is when someone enters they are forwarded to I know I can setup an entry in a webserver with a Virtual Host and do a redirect there, but is there a method where I can just make an entry in DNS to do this?

Thanks.

No. DNS records can never redirect to a subdirectory, only to another IP/name.

You could create a new virtual server on Domain2.com's server that runs against that subdirectory and you could redirect your first site to the new virtual server you set up. You'd have to prepare host headers, and you might have to consider binding an extra IP to your web server, depending on whether you need SSL connections to work for that site.
