I have a table in ACCESS97 which contains a list of names in Hebrew. I want to sort the list in alphabetical order, but for some reason it sorts all the entries EXCEPT ONE in alphabetical order. One entry which should be 7th on the list (out of 9 names) ACCESS always puts it first in the alphabetically sorted list. WHY??
I really don't unsderstand this. I have other tables which numbers and names in English, and ACCESS sorts them fine. Why am I having trouble with this specific table? Is it because the names are in Hebrew?

It sounds as though the first character in the name may contain a space, which would place the name at the beginning of a sorted list...

marksweetland is right . . . but you can check for other characters or maybe a number Please pardon the grammar.
Not good in english.

Check which sort method you are using. The sort order varies if you are using non-western character sets.
Check out sort order in VBHelp, Access Help or SQLBOL depending on which sort you are using.
