Hello All,

I am doing an upgrade from Accpac 200 5.4 to 5.5. I was able to install all software. When I attempt to load data back into the system, I get a Insert Error = 127, Native = 5. I dumped and loaded into Pervasive 9.7. The error refers to MS SQL. I have created new databases, verified that they are Pervasive SQL. Each time I attempt to load it goes a little farther but, I cannot get past this error!!
I would appreciate any assistance!!!!
Today is Sunday 5/31. I need company up and running today.

THanks

Kelly

Wait, your post is a bit confusing. Are you loading into MS SQL when you get the error, or into Pervasive?
If 5.4 was on Pervasive and you are upgrading to 5.5 on Pervasive then there is no reason to do a dump/load - unless you want to waste a lot of time and bill the client extra.

Error 127 means there are duplicate keys. This will be in the table the load fails on, you need to fix the data before dumping it.

Ettiene,

The upgrade environment is from Accpac 200 5.4 to 5.5. We were using Pervasive 9.5- and I upgraded to 9.7. I dumped the data before I started the upgrade. Then I installed the Accpac Upgrade on server and all workstations. Now I am attempting to load the data into the new data base I created. Everytime I load, I get the Insert Error = 127, Native = 5 . Can I go back at this point to 5.4?

Is there any way I can get assistance today. I am desperate!!!

Ettiene,

I have attempted to create a new system and company database. Instead of loading I created the new database in pervasive, verified my ODBC links. I can even create the database in Accpac. However, when I attempt to open up company in Accpac I get - Cannot activate common services in Accpac and Sequence Number Dispenser, record already exists.

Any Ideas?

As Ettienne says, there is no need to do a Dump/Load to do an upgrade. You should restore the backup you made before you started, and simply activate the 5.5 modules.

Tuba 2007,

That seems to be the general consensus. I am so used to dumping and loading that the most obvious answer just did not occur to me. I am still waiting for my restore, hopefully it will be as simple as that.

Thank you for your feed-back - I appreciate it.

Kelly
