how can you monitor the browser so that when it closes it carries out one last function.

For example if a user visits your site and the vbscript is started, is it possible to monitor the browser so that when it is closed it undertakes a task before it is closed????

(Even if the user leaves your site and goes onto other sites !!)
not in every case. you can capture the onUnload event in javascript on the client side, but it only fires when a new page gets loaded in the browser. if the user just closes the browser, you aren't notified.
nick bulka
