Urgent Help on Oracle ODBC Driver Not Found After Installing

I installed Oracle 9.2 on a laptop. I can use PL/SQL to connect to the Oracle Database server located on a remote machine without any problem. The Oracle Net Configuration Assistant does not tell me any problem either. However, I could not find ODBC driver for Oracle Within the Windows ODBC Setting windows. The Host OS is Windows XP with SP 2. Is there any one who has ever a similar problem?

Your prompt help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,
Just a very basic question: Did you install the ODBC driver for Oracle when you installed the Oracle client?.

Yeah. I am an experienced Oracle DBA. Unfortunately, I never encounter such a problem.

Thanks.

Hi,
Just to confirm..When you go to the Data Sources applet in the control panel, you cannot see an Oracle driver listed under the Drivers tab?

If not, then you may have missed the option ( and it is optional) of installing the Windows Components when you installed the client..The Oracle Net Configuration is a separate and unrelated process.

I realize that being an experienced DBA will help, but even we can miss something - especially in client setups.
