My flash memory has been erased by mistake and now I can’t boot up my router.
This is probably going to sound stupid but I don’t have a image for 1721 router were can I get a default image for 1721
Thank you

Hi,

You are going to have to get hold of a new image for it. The correct way would be to call Cisco and if your router is still under warranty they might help you out. I believe you can also find various images on file sharing software programs such as imesh.com, kazaa.com ect.You will need a TFTP server to load image onto router once you get hold of one. Do a search in google for free TFTP server downloads and you might be lucky.
Hope this helps

Solorwinds.net has a free tftp server.

Depending on your warrenty and if you have any kind of service agreement w/ cisco you can download a new OS off their site. I would call them up and see what they can do before resorting to kazaa.

Best way to do it is follow the "Disaster Recovery with TFTP" steps in the manual.

It reguires a bunch of little steps that I don't want to post for fear oof missing one and causing you more headaches.
