To all of you guys who have upgraded to 2003. When upgrading to 2003, do you recommend a full install "Format the drive.", or do you reccommend just an upgrade. I have a co-worker who say's "upgrades can cause problems and we should format the drive and do a full install" I say upgrade, and take care of any problems!!!

Give me your answers guys!!!

Thanks ahead of time!!!

I'm always a fan of clean installs. It makes sure that any problems or inconveniences you had before are either gone or you have a new shot at solving them.
On the other hand, there are alot of things that you need to rebuild. Upgrading simply saves alot of settings and gets you back on track faster. For a number of things there are migration tools to help you with this in case you want a clean install but you don't want to manually input all the settings again (e.g: AD users or something like that).
The choice is all yours, there is no 'best way' to do this. Determine what you will lose in case of a clean install and see if that's covered with a migration tool or an easy way to copy them to your new situation. If it's alot of work I'd go with upgrade, but if not (as I said at the beginning, I'm a fan of clean installs), go with clean install.
Hope this clears things up for you.
