I need to upgrade our SBS 2000 to SBS 2003. The approach I am looking to take is to build the SBS 2003 R2 then somehow perform a synch with the SBS 2000 computer. This way the SBS 2000 computer is not touched. Does this make sense? I have downloaded all the documentation I could find in microsoft to setup the SBS 2003 R2. Unfortunately I did not see any documentation on my approach.

Other upgrade or migrate approach process are welcome. Please help.

Thanks,
Steve C.

Thanks but I have this same document. This will migrate the SBS 2000 computer which I am not really looking to do. For the simple fact that if something goes wrong with the migration process, I will loose everything. The procedure I am looking for is to somehow clone the current SBS 2000 computer and migrate the clone. Or, build another SBS computer and perform an AD synch then migrate this new computer. In other words, I am looking for other migration procedure that will not require performing the migration process on the live SBS computer. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks again,
Steve C.

I stand corrected. After reading further in this migration document, this is the document I need to perform my task.

Thanks Roadki11.
