Hi,

Is Upgrading of Medpro and Val boards has the same procedure with Upgrading CLAN? If not, can you give me the steps in both Medpro and VAL. Thanks a lot.

no. With the MEDPRO (TN2302AP), you use the CLAN to stage the upgrade.

With a CLAN and the VAL board (and the new "Media Processor, TN2602AP), they are "self downloading", you install the firmware via copying it to each board via FTP, then do a self-download (source = target)

Links to the AVAYA support site for upgrading TN circuit pack firmware have been posted numerous times already.

Thanks Mitch,

So CLAN, VAL, And MEDPRO 2602 have the same procedures in upgrading the firmware?

For 2302, I can use CLAN as source of the firmware for 2303 upgrade? is that right?

Thanks a lot.

yes.

and,

yes. :) If you are doing a VAL upgrade, the only special step is to "cd /" before you FTP the file, since when you initially connect via FTP to a VAL board, the default is "/annc"

Thanks mitch.

For VAL: let say my folder for firmware is in VALFirmware folder.

So,it should be:

C:/VALFirmware>ftp <ip address of Val>----right?

Thanks a lot mitch.
