Upgrading Laptops

I recently purchased a Dell Inspirion 2500 (entry model) laptop, which has been great. But after about a month I realised my horrible mistake. I ordered it without a DVD ROM.

Does anybody know what the OEM DVD player is for these Dell laptops? Who manufactures them? Where can I purchase them? Is it as simple as removing my CDROM and installing the DVD ROM? I have the OEM Dell drivers for the DVD ROM (they're on the system recovery disk).

Has anybody done this? Any suggestions?
