Upgrading home wiring to cat 5

I am wiring the house and do not know what to do with the wiring closet. The house has three computers and don't know what to do or what to use????

If it is a small network setup, I would use a micro hub (CAT5) and run Workgroup (NT, 2000 or 98)which is not too much of bother.
