Upgrading from RAID 5 to 7

What are you exactly saying ?
AIX only supports software mirroring and/or striping. If you are running an external hardware RAID device, you'll need to check with the vendor.
I've not heard of RAID-7 though. And I can't find my RAID handbook from the RAID Advisory Board either.
